Shine Awarded Triple Lock Status by Charities Institute Ireland

We’re delighted to share that Shine has been awarded the Triple Lock Standard by Charities Institute Ireland. This recognition is given to charities that uphold the highest standards of governance, transparency and ethical fundraising.

Achieving the Triple Lock reflects our ongoing commitment to doing things properly, so that everyone who supports Shine can have full confidence in how we operate and how their support is used.

To be awarded the Triple Lock, charities must meet strict criteria in three key areas:

• Transparent reporting – making financial information clear, accurate and accessible
• Strong governance – ensuring sound leadership and accountability throughout the organisation
• Ethical fundraising – engaging respectfully and responsibly with donors and the public

For our supporters, the Triple Lock is a visible mark of trust. It means that Shine is professionally managed, open about its activities and focused on meaningful, measurable impact.

Last year fewer than 1.5% of Ireland’s 11,500 registered charities have achieved this standard. We are proud to be among them.
