Vitality Cobh – Cobh Promenade 12-4pm Sunday 26 June 2016
The 5th annual Vitality Cobh day will take place on Cobh’s Promenade from 12-4pm on Sunday 26 June 2016. The event is a free open air Family Health & Well-Being day with entertainment for both adults and children. Mental health is central to the event with the main theme being ‘Combating Isolation & Loneliness’. There will be 30 stands with information on supports and services at the event.
Vitality Cobh hopes to highlight the importance of reaching out to neighbours who may be feeling isolated.
Entertainment on the day includes drumming workshops, face painting, dance performances, and live music.
Over 2000 people attended Vitality Cobh’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Day last year. The event has been nominated in Cork City Council’s Lord Mayor’s Community and Voluntary Awards.
Shine relies on donations to continue its work and provide much needed services to people with mental ill health as well as their family members and carers.
