Celebrate international Plain Language Day on 13 October by reading free resources on plain English. See how well your documents compare with NALA’s Checklist for Plain English.
Plain English makes sense for you if you are writing material or reading it. Using plain English helps all readers (proficient and less proficient). It certainly makes sense for the 1 in 6 adults in Ireland with literacy difficulties. More and more regulatory bodies are providing their information to us in plain English. It makes a difference.
