The FRIENDS Project have some exciting events coming up over the next few months in the Midwest . The events will cover family recovery, wellness days, workshops and courses.
All our events are co-produced and designed specifically to meet the needs of the participants with most of the collaboration coming from family members who practice recovery in their lives and have direct experience of the benefits.
Family members often discuss how they didn’t believe they needed help and that family recovery in their mind was really about ‘fixing’ the person experiencing mental ill health.
As they did their own work though and kept turning up to courses and training they started to feel like they were in the right place, that the people in the room understood them and they weren’t alone anymore.
Then when they started practicing recovery actions they began to feel good within themselves again and learned to have a quality of life.
These family members are just like you and me and they have been on the road of recovery and still are. To have them in a room facilitating in areas they know so well these workshops and courses are sure to be something special.
I would love to see you at one of these events and have the opportunity to share the road of recovery. You can book tickets below or you can contact me directly on swalsh@shineonline.ie or 086 0237057
