Membership Renewal Notice 2018

Dear Member,


I would like to remind you that your membership of Shine is now up for renewal for the year
ending 31st December 2018. Please note that regardless of the date you pay, your
membership ceases on the 31st December each year (Guidelines for Shine

(If you have already paid your renewal in 2018 please ignore this notice thank you).
Individual Membership is €10 and Family Membership (for up to 3 family members) is €20
per annum. There is a reduced membership fee of €5 for students, unwaged and volunteers
of Shine.

Full membership entitles you to access Shine’s open source information, Shine support
groups, services, counselling and events, it entitles you to voting rights at our AGM
and gives you discounted rates for training and other events throughout the year. You
will receive our newsletter on a monthly basis via e-mail which provides information on all
our upcoming events and news on recent developments. It is available to download from
our website

Associate Membership is free of charge. Associate members have access to Shine services
but cannot avail of the discounted rates and do not have voting rights at our AGM.
Associate Membership does not expire at the end of the year.

Membership fees can be paid by cheque/postal order made payable to “Shine” or online via
the Shine website. Cash payments can be made at our offices. Please do not send cash in
the post.

Your membership is important to us and helps us to continue to support people with mental
ill health and their families and friends. Many thanks for your support and wishing you the
very best for 2018.

Guidelines for Shine Membership:

Membership of Shine runs from the 1st January to the 31 of December of any given year.

Subscriptions are payable on joining the organisation and in advance of the 1st January for
each subsequent year.

Subscriptions that reach Shine on or after the 1st of October of the previous year and or
before the annual general meeting of the current given year will be accepted as payment for
the current calendar year 1st January to the 31st December.

To run for election to the Board of Shine you must be a fully paid up member of Shine for at
least 12 months prior to election.
