Team Leader – Shine Day Resource Services

Reporting to:  Chief Executive Officer

(Functional reporting to Finance and Administration Managers)

Staff reporting to post – Coordinators of Resource Services and Counsellors

Full time post (35hrs per week),

Permanent Contract

SALARY – Grade VII Point 1 – €50,016 per annum

 

Location; Currently in Maynooth but Shine reserves the right to change location.

Travel to and between locations is expected.

 

PURPOSE

To lead the staff teams operating and delivering Shine Day Resource Services and Counselling Services in accordance with Shine’s strategic and operational plans, national mental health policy and agreed best practice.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The holder of this post is responsible for the delivery, on-going supervision and evaluation under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer of the following services:

  • The Basin Club resource centre operating in Dublin North City
  • The Basement resource centre operating in Cork City
  • The Waterford Discovery Service operating in Waterford City and County
  • The Cork and Dublin Shine confidential Counselling service including phil@shine.ie email support service
  • Oversight of the delivery of best practice programmes within the services to include organised recovery based programmes and agreed education and training programmes
  • Supervision of all resource and counselling service staff and staff activities through the agreed Shine staffing and management structures.
  • Development and implementation of ongoing formal and informal evaluation of service delivery
  • Assistance with the completion of relevant documentation for statutory and non-statutory funding
  • Liaison with Team Leaders of Shine National projects (currently See Change and Headline) and National Training, Awareness and Support to ensure a consolidated and cohesive delivery of service.
  • Any other duties as may be agreed from time to time.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A third level qualification in Mental Health or a related subject
  • Minimum of five years’ experience working in Mental Health
  • A minimum of three years supervisory/management experience
  • Experience of working to an ethos of person centred services and recovery.
  • Full Driver’s licence with use of own car
